These little doily envelopes are one of my favorite Valentine things to do for my husband and daughter. Over the years I've used them for wedding gifts, baby and wedding showers, put them on cards, scrapbook layouts and on one of my favorite projects my Valentine Window... Once you know the basics, you can make these envelopes with just about any kind of paper doily.... heart, square or circle. You can also go to my blog for a pdf to download with the instructions. EASY CARD FOR A MAN

A nice, easy monochrome image - men are always difficult to stamp for, and I think are often frightened of colour!

This card works well for birthdays, anniversarys (I made it for Father's Day last year - and my poor husband will probably be given it again this year, lol).

How I did it:

• I used just one inkpad throughout: Brilliance ink in Starlite Black.
• The background is the huge trefoil stamp (stamped twice onto white card) from the Weathered Textiles sheet by Tim Holtz.
• The main image is Classic Couple from Stampsmith (also stamped onto white card) then torn round 3 of the edges and ink rubbed on straight from the pad.
• I punched two holes at top and bottom left-hand side and threaded fibres through, then used double-sided tape to mount the piece to the background.
• The text is made up from an unmounted ransom-style alphabet set.

Valentine's Day Candy Box

Here's a SIMPLE gift idea!!!!
Start with THIS box! I saw it in a store this week and though, wow! That is an awesome box to alter!!!

1.Open the box, take out the treats in it and gobble them down FIRST!!!!!!!!!! Then take the cover apart.2. Spread a coating of glue on it and place your patterned paper on top and flatten out smoothly.3.Let it dry and trim the paper around the edge of the box.Fold up again.It will look like this.4. Open up the box completely. A 12x12 piece of patterned paper won't fit across the box, so what I did was I added a small piece on the end before I started covering the whole box.5. The places I have marked witha black "X" do not really have to be covered. Cover with glue, the areas that you want to put your patterned paper.If the paper you have chosen matches the red in the box, then you really don't need to cover the flaps either.
6. Once you have this done, let it dry and then trim the paper around the box. Re-fold it and glue the ends together.I used clips to hold it in place for a few minutes before starting the next step.7. When that is glued and set, then all you need to do now is trim the paper around the box, put the box back together and voila, it will look like this!8. Embellish it as you wish. Now it's ready to fill with yummies for a loved one!!!

Valentine Project- Love Hearts

This is a very easy project!!! VERY easy!!

You will need:
~Love Heart candies
~patterned paper
~2-way adhesive tape
~ribbon
~tag
~other items to embellish
1. Cut your paper to the size 4 X 3 1/4. Roll the paper along the edge of your table so that when you put it around your candy it will stay on there better.2. Add adhesive tape to both sides on the back.3. Tape one end along the edge of the candy.Roll it around and tape the other end.4. Tie a ribbon and tag around it and use any embellishments you wish.

See, I told you it was EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
